Getting around
Syracuse is walked, not driven: from our door the main sights are all within 23 minutes on foot. A car is what you need for day trips out of town.
By train
Siracusa Centrale is 760 metres away: 10 minutes on foot, with regional and high-speed trains.
By bus
The bus stop at Corso Gelone 52 is about 400 metres away and is the nearest Interbus stop for Catania Airport. The bus terminal for regional and extra-urban lines is 783 metres away.
On foot
Ortigia is 826 metres away (about 11 minutes on foot); the sea is 572 metres (7 minutes), and the Neapolis archaeological park is 1,300 metres away (about 19 minutes).

Free parking is available in front of the entrance and in the surrounding streets, and is easy to find.
Ground floor access
The entrance is at street level; the minimum width is about 60 cm.
Check-in with the building staff
There is no reception: at check-in you meet the building staff, who let you in and walk you through the house. Check-out is by 11:00.
